My Family History - Collura, my father's side

My father's parents both came to the US from Montedoro Sicily. My grandmother, Maria (Mary) Alba arrived in 1898 at the age of 3. My grandfather, Onofrio Collura, arrived in 1903 at the age of 17 along with his younger brother Angelo, 14. They all came to Pittston PA, a coal mining town between Scranton and Wilkes-Barre. Maria and Onofrio were married in January 1912. The birth dates on their marriage license don't seem to match other dates and I wonder why. In any event, Vincent (my father, and sometimes called Vincenzo or Jimmy) was born in 1913. Augustine followed in 1916, Rita in 1918, Gertrude in 1921 and John in 1923. Sadly, Onofrio was killed in a coal mine accident in 1924. Maria never re-married but lived until 1976 so she had the joy of seeing many grandchildren.
