My Family History - Collura, my father's Italian family

My father told me that the name Collura comes from the Northern part of Italy, near the Brenner Pass (which connects Italy to Austria). A map of the Collura family name in Italy below the photo to the right (which is of my great grandmother Josephine and her children Onofrio, Calogero and Angelo) shows many Collura families in Northern Italy and Sicily but none in the region near the Brenner Pass. Below the photo on the left (which is of my great grandfather John Alba, his wife Gaitana and their children) shows the distribution of the Alba family name in Italy. My great uncle Sam Alba is below the Alba family photo also.

Vincent told me that his uncle Angelo had blue-green eyes and a ruddy complexion (photo below), while Onofrio had a dark complexion. Onofrio's father was named Vincent - lots of name recycling in my family tree. My great grandmother, Josephine was married three times, each husband died and at least two died in mine accidents, though she lived to 100. Calogero, my great uncle, also died in the mines at only 17 (my father called him Charles).
